Lisa Martinez Peacock is a masters level Social Worker, licensed in Kansas, Missouri and South Carolina. Her career began as a social worker after graduating Magna Cum Laude from Southern University at New Orleans with a B.S.W. She worked for Catholic Charities at their domestic violence shelter. In 2005, Hurricane Katrina relocated her family to Kansas. In 2006, at The University of Kansas she was awarded a full scholarship with an emphasis on Domestic Violence. In 2007, she graduated from KU with a Masters in Social Work. Lisa is currently a member of the National Association of Social Workers. She was a founding member of the National Association of Black Social Workers in the KS/MO region. Lisa is a past board member for Urban Ranger Corp, an agency designed to help young urban core males to achieve academic and employment success.
In 2016, she opened her solo therapy practice. Lisa assists clients coping with domestic violence, depression, anxiety , relationship issues and chronic mental illness. Lisa utilizes a blend of cognitive behavioral, Christian Counseling and client centered therapy approach. Lisa is committed to the mental health and well being of all of her clients.
